Alan Lubinsky
South African-born[1] Alan Lubinsky is the current owner of AC Cars, having purchased it from Brian Angliss in 1996, and has produced cars sporadically ever since. Lubinsky moved production from England to Malta[2], and following financial irregularities there[3] in the fall of 2005 announced plans to begin building cars in Bridgeport, Connecticut[4], USA. In March 2006, Lubinsky announced a deal with Texas-based Unique Performance[5] to produce a Cobra-style AC MkV for the US market. That plan came to naught after Unique Performance declared bankruptcy[6]. In 2009 he moved production to Germany and announced new AC Mk. VI.[7]
